In 0.25 it's now possible to cancel updates and recovers while they are still in progress. Parity data integrity is preserved when cancelling an update from the UI.

Downloaded and installing 0.25 now, as a future thought it might be useful to have some screenshots somewhere on the forum / site so that new users can see the GUI without having to download and try.
Win 7 Pro 64 Bit - installed fine and currently setting up the parity drive.
Yeah I would like to have a much better web site for disParity some day. Sadly my web design skills lag far, far behind my Windows programming skills.
The program installs fine on WIn7 64bit (into the 32bit program files directly like it should). The first time I installed it, when I tried to run it I got an exception error and it crashed. Windows used its automatic compatibility settings and it worked that time - until I tried to import the old config file at which point it crashed again.
I then uninstalled and installed it again and it launches fine this time, but again crashed when I try to import my old config file.

I will do more testing later, the wife needs the TV. :)
I wonder if in some cases the app is having trouble creating its own data folder on first run. I'll have to run some more tests here. Does this folder exist on your system?
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\disParity\
And if so, does it contain a crash.txt file? If there's a crash.txt file there, please either post it here or email it to me. Also, can you email me your old config.txt file?
BTW as a .NET app, disParity will automatically run in 64-bit mode on 64-bit OSes, and 32-bit mode on 32-bit OSes. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit myself.
A couple more questions:
Are you guys getting the license agreement screen the first time you run the app?
Also, I think I'm having installer problems. It looks like the 0.25 installer is still installing version 0.24 for some reason. If you press the "About" button, what version does it say?
Thanks!
I do have that folder, and it has a crash.log in it with this as its contents:
