lost config file

My PC has an unexpected shutdown, and when restarting disParity, it told me it didn't have a config file.

Is there any way of recovering it, or do I have to redo all my drives (not such a big deal.) Perhaps there's a way for me to recreate the config file?

    Thank you!

That's odd. Assuming you are on Vista or later, can you tell me whether this folder exists and if so, what files are in it:

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\disParity

(Note that AppData is a Hidden folder and won't show in Windows Explorer unless you have the option to show hidden folders set.)

    I'm using Windows 8.1 Preview.

The files that are in that folder are as follows:

    logs folder
    config.bak
    config.xml
    crash.txt

config.xml is the config file. Can you open it, and if so, post the contents here?

When I open the program, it doesn't see a config file, and when I try the import function, it's looking for a .txt file.

I think I messed it up, because I re-added the parity drive to see if it'll show up, and I'm pretty sure that recreated the xml.

Depending on the order in which you did things, it's possible the config.bak contains a backup copy of your old config file. You could try renaming config.bak to config.xml and see if disParity comes up with your old config.

Thank you! I already recreated it, but I'm going to backup the config file from now on.

    Amazing work, keep it up!
